Love Esco?

Do you Love Esco?

We love the fact that we live and work in Escondido. Kate has lived here 30+ years, raising two kids in the house that we still live in. Bob has been in Escondido for 15+ years (he likes to say "I met a girl from Escondido, now I live there")
It's a diverse community with lots of natural beauty and Kate likes the opportunities to get out in nature. She frequents Lake Hodges, Dixon Lake, Daley Ranch, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park and more. Most days on her break you will find Kate walking through Downtown and Old Escondido wearing her "I Love Esco" hat.
Bob spent 30+ years in the car/motorcycle/boat magazine business so he loves Cruisin Grand and the many national award winning custom car shops in town. This year he took up Pickleball and is playing 3 or so times a week at his new favorite hangout Mountain View Park.
We have been watching on Facebook as a group called Love Esco has been doing their best to make an impact on the city and when we saw that they offered bus tours of the city we signed up for the Aug 5 tour. Here's what they say on their web site, "To impact Escondido you have to love Escondido. To love Escondido you have to know Escondido. To know Escondido you have to explore Escondido. This introductory tour will take you all over the city of Escondido exposing you not only to the issues but the places of hope in our city. You will learn about creative ways neighbors are engaging in their neighborhood to spread love and kindness. We hope that by going on this tour, you would view Escondido through a new perspective and be inspired to be a part of loving our city!"

Could not have said it better ourselves. The morning tour is sold out (by the way, it's completely free) but there are still some spots open for the 1 pm tour. Click HERE to go to their enrollment page. And check out their web site. This group is affiliated with Emmanuel Faith Community Church in Escondido.

Favorite Places In Escondido

We went to the Carvin Jones concert on Thursday night at The Grand/ Ritz Theater and boy was that a lot of fun. Carvin is a blues and rock artist in the vein of B.B King and Buddy Guy. But what a fantastic performer! So much fun. And The Ritz, well it's a gem that you need to experience! See the Grand/Ritz Facebook page HERE
